Failing is OK
August 29, 2012
You are going to make mistakes and lots of them. This is all part of being in business. The most important thing to take stock of is asking “what did I learn?” Many times when things fail, they are completely out of your control. A client did not deliver what they promised, fans did not respond to a band’s new music, ticket sales fell short because of the economy, and other factors came into play. However, when you make mistakes, be upfront with your clients and admit that you are human and take full accountability for your actions. Clients will remember you for doing great work, but they will also remember you for being honest when things don’t work out as planned.
